Who We Are

The Chelsea Center believes in the power of experiential opportunities for all students at WGHS, grades 9-12.  Chelsea Center internships and job shadowing experiences empower students to explore future careers while learning the value of thoughtful communication, reflection, and creative problem-solving.  Chelsea Center service learners practice those same key skills while also creating the change they want to see in the world through their volunteering, advocacy, or activism.  Students whose interests extend beyond WGHS offerings of electives may co-design their experiential curriculum through our Passion Pursuits course.  Travel experiences are also enhanced through the reflective process, highlighting new skills like navigation or new cultural interests to explore.  Chelsea Center students earn academic credit for these experience-based courses.
