Calculator Needs/Requirements

Classes that need a scientific calculator:

Algebra 1 part 1, Algebra 1 part 2, Algebra 1, AMPED, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Trig, Algebra 3, College Algebra

Classes that need a graphing calculator:

Honors Algebra 2 Trig, Pre-Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus, Intro to Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Stats

Recommendations:

Scientific Calculators: Any brand will do, must have the SIN, COS and TAN buttons. Prices range $10 to $20 dollars.

Graphing Calculators: Texas Instruments (TI-83 or TI-84), Casio. Teachers are most familiar with the Texas Instruments though and have limited knowledge of Casio.

The math department does have TI-83 calculators available for check out for the year for anyone who needs one. You supply the batteries. They require 4 AAA. Please have your student speak to their teacher to get one checked out.
