2026 Summer Reading Information

The State of Missouri requires all high school students to have four years of English credit in order to graduate, and the Webster Groves English Department offers a wide variety of courses to meet their needs. A complete listing can be found in the Course Description Book.

The Board-Approved English Curriculum can be found here. 

We emphasize a novel-based curriculum with a strong focus on writing and research skills.  We offer both AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition; in addition, students have the opportunity to earn dual credit through the University of Missouri - St. Louis in seven of our courses.
